Fiji

A large group of nearly 850 islands north of New Zealand, which can be divided into several distinct groups: Rotuma, Vanua Levu and associated islands, the Lau Group, the Lomaiviti Group, the Yasawas, Vitu Levu and associated islands, and Kadavu and associated islands.

Dudley, 1646

Horn Islands, Coco, and Verianders. Note sure what islands in Fiji these represent.

Benard, 1795

Labeled "Isle de la Tortue" (French for Tortoise). I'm not sure exactly what island is shown here. From the coordinates shown on the map (19d 48m S, 178d 02m W), it appears to be an island in the south part of the Lau Group of islands, perhaps the island of Ongea.

(From a chart containing four maps of individual South Pacific islands.)
